Albert Facey's Grandmother 1832 - 1932 and Grandfather Carr who died in 1898, owned a small property at Barker's Creek / Campbell's Creek, ' 63 miles North of Melbourne, on the Bendigo Road, near Castlemaine'. She was also a well known midwife. Albert Facey was born in 1894 at Maidstone (now a North Eastern Melbourne suburb) , in Victoria. He also had an older sister Laura (unknown married name who remained in Victoria ) as well as another sister who died in her teens, and two brothers, one Killed at Gallipoli, went with him and their Grandmother to Western Australia in about 1899.
